Social Collaborative is excited to announce that we will be having our first Parent Training Workshop on Understanding Your Child’s Behavior in October!
We will be hosting a limited series of workshops, each focusing on a specific topic in the areas of early intervention, Positive Behavior Support, language and communication, social interactions, sensory and occupational needs, among others. This series will also include topics relating to the IEP process and working with schools, as well as considerations on transitions and independence as your child grows. Invited speakers will include experienced professionals such as Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA), Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP), Occupational Therapists (OT), attorneys specializing in the IEP process, etc.
Our first workshop in this limited series will be a deep dive into challenging behaviors that impact the daily routines and activities of family life. We will focus real-life routines, examine why behaviors occur and persist, and develop practical solutions that will increase the quality of life for your child and family. We will introduce simple and effective strategies that promotes desired behaviors. This will not be another workshop that gives you generic information and leaves you with more questions than answers. Instead, it  is a rare opportunity for a hands-on experience and our goal is for each participant to leave with actionable ideas to implement at home!
