“I started my career working with children with autism in Vancouver in 2001. I am active in the realm of autism research and have presented at a number of national and international conferences hosted by the Applied Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) and Association of Professional Behavior Analysis (APBA). I am a certified provider of the UCLA PEERS® program to teach social skills to teens with autism, as well as completed advanced training in the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM). When I am not working with families and children, I enjoy spending time outdoors running, swimming, and climbing.”

Daisy Wang | BCBA, MEd.

“My favorite part of my work is partnering with staff and students through life’s joys and difficulties, year by year, week by week, hour by hour. I pride myself on my own blend of professionalism and silliness, and have been working in ABA just shy of 15 years. My proudest moment with Social Collaborative was receiving anonymous feedback that our staff feel supported by their supervision team. My fun facts are that I have an inordinate amount of love for my 2007 manual FJ Cruiser and think a day is only wasted if I haven’t read a poem.”

Blake Henderson | BCBA

“My favorite part about my work is helping to make a positive impact in the lives of the families I serve and celebrating all successes, big and small. I am a behavior analyst and have worked at Social Collaborative for 4 years. My proudest moment with Social Collaborative was hearing a clients first words. A fun fact about me is I love sweets and spending time with my family.”

Rachel Hughes | Behavior Analyst

“My favorite part about my work is working with my team and the support we give each other. I am a resilient individual with 9 months of experience as a Behavioral Interventionist. My proudest moment with Social Collaborative is learning how to get creative! A fun fact about me is that I have been playing basketball since I was 5 years old and I shoot some hoops during my free time!”

“Hello, I am Duck. I started working at Social Collaborative to learn more about this work and to gain experience so I can continue to grow in this field.
My favorite part about my work is seeing the gradual improvement and seeing that my aid is helping people. That is extremely rewarding to see. Aside from work, I like to create whetherthat is on paper or as movement. I am an experienced dancer and have been since the age of 6.

Duck Hernandez | Behavior Technician

“Upon joining Social Collaborative, I was most excited about the work we do. Here at Social Collaborative, my goal is to effectively help the families and staff with gusto and a smile. Effective operations means that people feel heard and supported as we succeed, and I take this very seriously. Outside of work and school, I love spending time with my son, and rescue animals. Things are always busy and life is never boring!”
